Mexico getting soaked by Tropical Depression 14-E

Tropical depression 14-E, expected to become tropical storm Lidia, is located south of Baja California Sur. The low pressure extends over the west of the country, creating the potential of heavy rains in most of the country.

Wind gusts in excess of 60 kilometers per hour will be present in Baja California Sur, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima and the southern Gulf of California.

The northwest portion of the country will reach temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius, adding to the instability of the atmosphere.

SMN predicts that the Baja California Peninsula will maintain partly cloudy skies with a 60% potential . . .
